What sets us apart in Chaska is our focus on the details that other sweeps miss. Take the brickwork, for example: if your chimney’s mortar is flaking or the bricks are spalling from freeze-thaw cycles, that’s not just cosmetic, it’s a sign of structural weakness. We’ve seen too many older homes in this area where a small crack in the liner or a loose cap turns into a major repair because the problem was ignored. Our crews don’t just climb up and down; we look for the warning signs that tell us whether your chimney is still doing its job or just waiting to fail. That’s how you avoid the $3,000 surprise when your roof starts leaking through the chimney.
We also know Chaska’s climate plays a role. The deep freezes and rapid temperature swings here can turn a minor issue into a big one fast. A chimney that’s fine in summer might develop cracks or draft problems once the weather turns. That’s why we don’t just show up once a year, we offer inspections that actually check for the things that matter, like proper draft flow, liner integrity, and whether your damper is sealing right. If you’ve got an older home with a brick chimney, you’re not just burning wood, you’re relying on that chimney to work perfectly every time. We make sure it does.
